S.E. Sasaki is not only a science fiction author but also a successful artist and a hard working family physician. She was a GP for over twenty years in a small rural town and now spends all of her working hours assisting in surgery. She works days doing elective surgery and afternoons, evenings, weekends, holidays and the wee hours of the early morning assisting in emergency surgery to save people's lives. She LOVES her job!!! A lot of her experiences in the operating room gives her inspiration for her science fiction series, THE GRACE LORD SERIES, involving the Nelson Mandela Medical Space Station in 'Welcome to the Madhouse', 'Bud by the Grace of God', and 'Amazing Grace'. She has a fantasy dragon trilogy in the works and has created award-winning collages to go with the books. She also written the first book in a YA SF series focusing on Hiro Al-Fadi as a child. The first book is now completed called Hiro's Hardship. As a downhill skier, tennis player, avid canoeist and whitewater kayaker, swimmer, and world traveller, she believes that you have to live to the fullest each day of your life. Then you will never have any regrets.
